Road closure for parade

Where: Main Street of Takapau - Charlotte street
10am | This is a free community event in conjunction with Spring Fling.
Floats and parade starts on Charlotte Street at the south end opposite the old hotel. The parade will be led by the Napier Pipe Band.

Note: We are inviting community groups, businesses, schools, clubs, families, vintage vehicles, floats, horses, farm machinery and local organisations from: Takapau, Ashley Clinton, Ashcott, Oruawharo, Sherwood, Otawhao & Makaretu. Come dressed up, decorate your float, vehicle or group, and be part of this unforgettable community celebration.

Historical Cultural Experience/Journey

Where: Bus ride from Takapau Town Hall to two different sites
(online tickets are sold for the light luncheon afterwards)

Served from midday back at Takapau Town Hall

Time Capsule - This is a free community event
Where: The green patch opposite the Old Takapau Hotel

Join us as we place a beautifully crafted time capsule into the ground for future generations to discover.
The local schools will be involved in this special occasion, with all children participating in the event.
A commemorative tree planting and short service will also take place.
Limited seating will be available for those who require it.
